DC So Far

Posted on: Wednesday, March 5, 2014

Just a quick check in! This has been a more atypical Washington, DC trip, as the first two days were spent only at the conference at a hotel and not seeing anything of the city really, whereas on my last trip we were walking past the White House every day. There was also a snow storm and doing much more than getting to and from the metro in my non-snow boots was out of the question. But the conference is over and I'm staying with Abigail in Baltimore, the sun is out and snow is sort of clearing, so hopefully we'll have some more adventures!

Boston in Summer II

Posted on: Thursday, August 29, 2013

Real quick, here's the last chunk of photos from my trip to Boston! On Monday (post-concert) my sis and I stopped at Dunkin' on our way to the beach by her house for a little bit, and then we ventured to the New England Aquarium. It was cool, the layout and the creatures, and getting to pet the stingrays, but probably not worth the $25 admission. They also offer whale watching trips, which I would definitely like to do sometime. We then stopped at the new Sweetgreen, where Erica and I used to go for frozen yogurt when we were both at school in DC. Next we spent some time on the river; Erica fell asleep on the dock and I watched sailboats and the clouds. We then met up with my friends Allie and Emma once they got off work. We started at Drink, a swanky bar with delicious fries and drinks, and then went across the street to Lucky's. It was wonderful to spend the last evening catching up and chatting. My flight was at 6am, so I had to get up really early and take a taxi to the airport.
^^the beach has a lovely view of the airplanes taking off and landing^^
^^those clouds^^

Until next time, Boston!
