Euro Tour

Back when I was young and living in Finland for a year, Rotary took us on a trip around Europe. It was something like ten countries in nineteen days, in June 2007. This was a trip I had been looking forward to the whole of my stay abroad, and it was truly fantastic. The only downside was when I woke up in Italy to over 40 bug bites on my legs and almost had to go to a hospital in the Italian Alps because they were throbbing so badly and just generally disgusting in appearance. But instead I hiked the mountains and reached the snowy summit like a champ (and whined and ached in pain all the rest of the time). During the trip we went to: started in Turku, Finland, cruise ship overnight to Sweden, bus and ferry down to Denmark, Germany, Netherlands- Amsterdam, Belgium- Brussels, France- Versailles, two day stay in Paris, and Nice, Monaco, Italy- Lido di Jesolo, Venice, and the Alps, Austria- Innsbruck, Czech Republic- Prague, and back up again via Berlin and Stockholm. Here's pictures up through Paris.

If you've made it through all those pictures to the end of this post, congrats! Stay tuned for pictures from the rest of the trip, and a post about the places I'd like to travel to in the future. Also, a guest post from my friend Allie about her semester abroad in Italy!
