March Photo a Day, 21-31

Posted on: Friday, April 6, 2012

The last photos from March!
21. Delicious. My first attempt at chicken parm. I wasn't the biggest fan on the chicken, but I liked the sauce  (with wine)!
22. Kitchen Sink. Empty bottle of wine.

yeah, I missed the 23rd (moon).
24. Animal. Toad pot at the Thai restaurant.
25. Breakfast. Oatmeal!

26. Key
27. Your name. My Pitt diploma!

28. Trash. Pretty full trash can by my desk.
29. Feet. Vibrams! Too bad I had to order a different size and they are back-ordered.

30. Toy. Kitten toy.
31. Where you Relax. This leather couch from my parents house is pretty relaxing. Except for when we first moved down here and it had acquired fleas in the process. Thanks, movers.

So, that was March! On to April! I like the prompts for this month! Are you participating?
Update: I've missed the last couple days of April. Sigh.

Posted on: Thursday, March 22, 2012

11. Someone you Talked to - texty text
12. Fork - salad lunch while reading a postcard from Australia
13. A sign - Kyle forgot his dog tags the day before, so I hung them from the mirror and left a note for him to remember the next day.
14. Clouds - The sky was pretty much all clouds.
15. Car - I think this was us driving to Specs to stock up on St. Patty's alcohol.
16. Sunglasses - Not actually sunglasses, but my pair of IMAX 3D glasses in Austin.
17. Green - Husband in his green shirt. Also green pillows back there.
18. A Corner of your Home - Not the prettiest corner, but the Pens were on! In Texas!
19. Funny - Rewatching The Office.
20. Before/After - Stormy morning, calm afternoon. I used the PicFrame app to split the photos.
See days 1-10 here.

March Photo A Day, 1-10

Posted on: Saturday, March 10, 2012

We're already ten days into March! I'm posting my first ten photos from the photo a day challenge. You can follow along daily if you like via facebook or instagram/twitter @mrssmcp. :)

Here we go.

1. Up
New month of Kyle's motorcycle calendar up on the wall.

2. Fruit
Some lemons in the fridge. I really like having lemons handy, and I've been cooking with them more frequently lately. "More frequently" as compared to "not ever."

3. Your Neighborhood
Down the street, view from Kyle's motorcycle in our front yard. We live right around the corner from an elementary school, with easy access to groceries and shopping in town without the residential roads being busy. It seems like a friendly neighborhood, though sometimes odd people come to the door offering to cut your grass or informing you at seven in the evening that you're getting free newspapers (and then come into your house and tell you way too much about themselves, or about you. Actual quote: "you've got some black in you too I think!").

4. Bedside
Pretty simple. The cats would knock things off of here anyway (they have a thing for sticking their heads under lampshades). A couple very different books, a lamp Kyle made ages ago, some tissues. I love our blue and white polka dot bedding from IKEA.

5. A Smile
Rearranged the hearts on the wall in the kitchen from Valentine's Day.

6. 5PM
I can't say no when this kitten wants to cuddle.

7. Something you Wore
Anniversary day outfit! I got married in this dress.

8. Window
Kittens like to bird/squirrel/dog watch.

9. Red
My makeup brush is really red.

10. Loud
The storm today got really loud.

March

Posted on: Thursday, March 1, 2012

It is March!

I love the Instagram app on my iphone (love love love), and this month I will participating in the March photo a day "challenge" via Fat Mum Slim. It should be fun. I will either post them here week to week, or all at the end of the month. Or you can follow me on Instagram/twitter @mrssmcp for daily updates. I will also post them on my facebook page

What else this month?

Oh, a little thing called our first anniversary is next Wednesday! woohoo! IHOP here we come. That is the extent of our plans so far.

I may be hearing some more grad school news, and making some decisions.

THREE months until the wedding. Three months. Three, guys.

I will be sending out invitations!

I'd like to take a trip to Austin, to check out UT's MSW program and meet with some folks.

Pi Day. A great day in 9th grade geometry class. I might have to make a pie this year...

It is probably going to turn into summer here. I have a horrible feeling. Too soon, Texas. I am not ready.

More dishes to try:

I would also like to try a Shamrock Shake, as I have never had one before, and it seems this time of year they are a "thing."

And there was talk of going to Austin for St. Patrick's Day. It is on a Saturday...And a great holiday for maybe wearing my military ball shoes :)

I am going a little bit crazy being at home all day during the week, no vehicle to even run out for groceries or  anything, nobody to talk to but the kittens. And they're cute but not very chatty. I'm not one who is good at not being busy for long, and I'm really feeling it now. I'm trying to appreciate free time though, before work and school starts up. Luckily, Kyle got his motorcycle license figured out the other day, and parts are on the way to attach to his bike so that he can carry things he needs to get back and forth to the base.

D was a bit pukey this morning, so there may be a trip to the vet in the future. I'll keep an eye on her...
